Phimosis is a condition of the penis that can occur in some adults and children who are not circumcised. Phimosis prevents the pulling back of the foreskin (retracted). After phimosis, which occurs in virtually all newborns, the foreskin ultimately transforms and can be pushed back. Phimosis is also possible later in life.
